Custom "Made to Order" Telescope Platform in Big Canoe, Georgia For Sale

I am a North Georgia woodworker specializing in custom made platform beds and headboards (www.tedthebed.com). I'm also an amateur astronomer.
I designed and built this affordable, high quality Dob Platform. It is a simple, elegant design ... extremely strong and stable. I use only natural solid pine and 3/4" cabinet grade plywood (no particle board). Just six galvanized (rust resistant) screws assure easy assembly and years of care free use. In the photos I have my 12" Dob (84 lbs) standing on it. Of course, most people with a 12" or larger Dob would not use a stand even though my neighbor, who's 6' 5", might disagree:) I designed and built the Dob Platform for 4", 6", 8" & 10" Dobsonian telescopes.
All surfaces and edges are fine sanded and custom stain (www.minwax.com) or paint (www.behr.com) is included in the price.
The Dob Platform in the photos is 12" high with an 18" diameter top. Any custom height or diameter to suit your viewing needs up to 12" x 18" is standard. Larger sizes available.
