Patches has a little pink snout and pink lips and he has no inhabitations about that. His name is obviously from the black patch on his right eye. He weighs 53 pounds and is about 2 years old. Patches is a mix of many things. He appears to have Hound, Yellow Lab, and Stafford Terrier in him. Patches wandered up to our kennel very scared and hungry. Though he had no reason to trust anyone, he did. Patches is truly a remarkable dog. For his size, he is incredibly gentle and sweet. He is also good natured and well mannered. Patches takes a little time to trust new folks, but hes very willing to try. He learns quickly. Patches just finished a basic obedience class and enjoys practicing the watch me, sit, down and recall cues. Patches shows his gentle side giving many kisses and enjoys being hugged and wants very much to please the people who love him. He likes other dogs and hes well mannered when on his walks. Patches appears to be house trained. Patches would do best with a loving family that understands his being shy with new experiences. Young children with loud toys would most likely scare him. We recommend older responsible children. Like all of our dogs, Patches should be adopted as a family pet and not as an outside dog.
